Couture Candle Care and Safety

Always burn your candle in sight; away from flammable items and situations that could cause fire hazards. Never leave your candle unattended.

Trim wick to about 1/4 inch prior to each use to prevent soot build up. Only burn candle up to 4 hours at a time to decrease soot build up. On your initial use, allow your candle to burn to an even layer of melted wax before extinguishing. This one small tip will prevent your candle from having the "tunnel" effect, and allows use of all the wax. 

Keep candle clean. Remove any soot, dust, wick trimmings or other debris prior to each use while candle is cool and solid. 

Avoid leaving candle in areas of prolonged heat such as a car in the summer, the mailbox or direct sunlight. This allows your candle to maintain it's shape and color.

Keep away from children, pets or anyone that is not responsible enough to use fire. 

Only handle the candle/ candle jar once it has cooled and is in solid form again. 

Remember to be safe, use your best discernment to avoid fire hazards. Once candle has burned to about 2 inches of wax remaining, discard the solid wax (do not pour wax down a drain, toilets are drains too) into the trash, wash out your jar (dish soap and water) and reuse for miscellaneous items like pens, make-up brushes or jewelry. 

 Couture Melts

Use with an electric warmer. Remove any packaging prior to placing into your warmer. 

Use your best judgment when determining how many melts to use in your warmer at once. We recommend 1 average size wax melt at a time. 

Keep away from children and pets. Our Couture Melts come in a variety of fun shapes, colors, and sizes, they could appear as candy, however Couture Melts should not be eaten. 

Like with all wax melts, over time it will start to lose its scent in the warmer, that's how you'll know it's time to replace it. Simply allow the wax to cool and solidify, gently break the wax into pieces and discard into the trash. Wipe warmer clean with a napkin/ paper towel or anything that can be thrown away. Do not pour wax down the drain (toilets are drains too).
